Main stage of the Palais Garnier, Paris

Well, it’s pretty much decided. My wife and I are heading back to Paris in 2014 which will be our 4th visit in the past 5 years. If you’ve never been to Paris then it might be hard to understand why we’d want to go back again and again. However, if you’ve been then you’ll probably understand. The food and wine, the sights, the culture, the shopping… just about everything appeals to us.

On our last visit we attended a performance of La Sylphide at the beautiful Palais Garnier. This is the main stage with its trompe-l’œil curtain. The old opera house is rococo turned up to 11 and is truly a sight to see.
