Kinkaku-ji

My wife and I recently returned from a vacation in Japan where we visited many sites. One of the most beautiful was the Zen Buddhist temple in Kyoto called Kinkaju-ki. In English it’s known as the Temple of the Golden Pavilion. The gardens that surround the temple are of classical Japanese design and the Golden Pavilion gets its name from its gold leaf decoration. It’s a very beautiful place.

This is the Golden Pavilion.
